A fabulous antique Victorian Suffragette bracelet C. 1900, decorated with violet Amethyst, green Peridot and white Pearls.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The bracelet is a lovely design and fashioned in 15ct Yellow Gold with an added safety chain for extra security.
The piece looks beautiful around the wrist and is one to be adored and treasured.
